PSALM 55:22
"Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you;
He shall never permit the righteous to be moved."
My heart has been very heavy the last few days about a sister in Christ and her family. Her name is Kate Point and she is one of the elders daughters at the church in Pitman. She and her husband, James, have been trying for quite a long time to have a child. They finally found out about three months ago that she is pregnant and everyone was so thrilled about it. Her due date is in April. Well about a week or so ago she went to the doctors due to some pain she was having. Some of the doctors she talked to just wrote it off as pregnancy discomfort, but she finally got someone to take her seriously and has come to find out that the situation is just that, very serious. She will be having a biopsy done on Thursday - the doctors are fairly certain that she has pancreatic cancer and are afraid that it has also spread to her liver. I am begging your prayers for her and her family as she is so scared for her husband at this time. She is only one of about 10 women ever to have pancreatic cancer while pregnant. Without divine intervention she only has a short time. There is less than a 5% chance that it isn't cancer...let's be praying for that small percentage!!! She and James are so sweet and have wanted nothing more than to share their love with a baby. God is in control and we have to trust him - PLEASE PRAY!
Thanks! This is such a reminder to me of how uncertain the future is. The only certain thing in life is that one day Jesus is coming back for those who have obeyed him. Let's not waste a single second.
God bless!
