Christmas Day 2006

Well we had a very nice day yesterday...and it started at Ayden's normal gettin' up time - 7:00. That was fine with me because I tossed and turned all night long and was ready several hours before that to get up!!! We all got up, ate donuts, and headed for the tree. Ayden got a wagon filled with presents and he wanted to climb in as soon as he saw it! So that's where he sat for the rest of the time we opened stockings and presents. He actually got the hang of opening presents this time - ripping paper and all! HoHo (that's what Bubba calls Santa) was very good to all 0f us this year. Now we have to go through all of his old toys and put some away so that the new ones will fit in his toybox. That's quite a job!

After that, we cleaned the house a bit and I started working on dinner. After all the prep work was done I went and took a much needed nap. I ended up sleeping way longer than I had planned, but dinner was still ready around five. Papa and Mama came over for dinner and Uncle Ray, Aunt Brenda, Becky, and David stopped by to say hi on their way to dinner with the Henry's. We had a nice dinner, opened presents, and then Ayden went to bed a little early - he's still not feeling well and had NO nap yesterday!!!! We ate dessert, Mama and Papa left, and then we watch a recorded episode of Close to Home, and went to bed.

Jenn and Nate are in Ohio and we missed having them around, but know they are having a good time with his family!

Today, Shawn has to work at 2, and I have some running around I need to do. Today is also my Aunt Bea's birthday...Happy B-day Bea!!!
