I've Got The Joy Joy Joy Joy...
There is so much about this time of year that I love. I am in the process of making my Christmas cards and even though it is a daunting task (this year we're up to about 175), there is something about keeping in touch with people that we love that I just love. There is something about buying things for people and anticipating their reactions that I just love. There is something about Christmas music that is so cheery. There is something about baking cookies - so that in case someone "comes to call" we have something to offer - that I just love. All of this just gives me such joy - watching Ayden getting excited about decorations, even though he really has no clue what all of this is all about. He has even started asking to go "shoppin" - I guess that means that we have been out to the mall a few times!
I just wish that we could spread all this joy out over the whole year (not have Christmas all year long), but have the same spirit that most people have during this time of year. Will you join me in my New Year's reolution in trying to be more loving, compassionate, hospitible, giving, etc. in 2007 and to find joy in all things?
I hope that you are having as much fun as I am this Christmas season!
P.S. The pictures are of our amateur photo shoot to find the perfect picture to stick in our Christmas cards. Can you guess which one we used? I'll give you a hint...Shawn hates his socks that are showing in the first picture. So it's not that one!
