Bubba's Birthday Party

Here are some of the pictures of Ayden's birthday party that we had on the 10th. It was a really nice time having most of Ayden's grandparents (we missed you DeeDee - Shawn's Gramma). I made a Mickey Mouse cake for him since he is completely obsessed with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and all things Mickey! He got a lot of fun toys and hasn't stopped playing with them all since then.

It is so hard to believe that he is 2 already. And just in the last week or two he has really grown up a lot. He is offering more verbally without having to be prompted (like manners, people's names, and expressions dealing with feelings). It is much easier to reason with him and make him understand why...it is all just so amazing to me. Now, don't get me wrong - he definitely has his 2-year-old moments, but they seem to be getting less and less. WOO HOO!

On a side note, we took him to the Ringling Brothers Circus yesterday and we all just had a blast. He did so well for sitting for more than 2 hours. There were a couple of acts that didn't interest him in the least, but for the most part it held his attention. Talk about sensory overload!!!! I had a hard time keeping up with all that was going on! His favorite parts were any of the animal acts...especially the elephants!

I just talked to Mom and she is on her way home. She is feeling good and the surgery went well! Now's the hard part...recovery!
