Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Good morning all! The turkey is in the oven and I decided I wanted to post a little note before I have to really start getting the meal started. I hope you have a full day planned with family and friends. Besides our family, my parents, my sister and brother-in-law, grandparents, and aunt and uncle and coming for the meal. Then my uncle, aunt, cousins, great aunt and uncle, and some family friends are all stopping by at some point for dessert.
This really is my favorite holiday - although people rush through it and try and get to Christmas early, there is nothing that clutters up Thanksgiving Day- meaning everyone knows what this holiday is all about...family, friends, giving thanks for our blessings, and of course eating really good food!
We will eat at about 2:00pm and then crash on the couch and watch a movie all together. Then whoever isn't asleep, will venture into the kitchen and get dessert ready. We may play a game or just sit around and talk. It is just such a relaxing day once the meal is done!
I am so glad that Shawn doesn't have to work today - besides it being really nice to have him around, I have a "honey-do" list for him that is getting pretty extensive. ;)
