Long time...

So I realized that it has been quite a while since I updated. Part of the problem has been that my camera quit completely, so I haven't been able to "document" any of the cute things that Ayden has been doing.
But, I started thinking about all that I could say and I actually do have quite a bit to report.
We finally got a temporary certificate of occupancy so we are officially in the house as of Tuesday last week! I really feel for Dad and Mom b/c what was supposed to be an easy transition to their dream house has turned into an almost 2-year to the day nightmare. And to think that they thought they would be in by Memorial Day! Life is funny sometimes! I am just so happy for them now.
Shawn's Mom has been here since Saturday (we sure have missed you Dad) and we have had a really good time. She gave me my Christmas present early (a new camera) - so now I am not in despair anymore about missing out on Ayden stuff! She also has been over-sufficiently spoiling Ayden! She would say that there is no such thing...she has so much fun doing it!!! We are looking forward to getting away for a long weekend to Ohio for early Christmas - December 13th - 18th. Shawn has to work on Christmas weekend, so this will be a nice little vacation for us.
Shawn had some good job news. He has now been moved to the day shift on Friday and Saturday - this is big! You see, all the nights were really starting to wear on us as a family and it couldn't have been more of a surprise! Eventually they are wanting him on days Wednesdays as well, but we'll take Fri. and Sat. for now!
Ayden is as cute as ever...I think he is starting to cut his 2-year molars, so that has been a little droolie, but as good as ever. He is more and more expressive all the time and although we knew that he had a wonderful sense of humor, we are truly starting to see what a clown he really is.
I am feeling much better now. With Ayden the only thing that I couldn't eat, due to it making me sick was lobster (which we couldn't afford anyway, so no big deal!), but with this one I can't drink coffee. I miss my morning cup 'o joe, but I feel a ton better without it! I like tea too!
We are really gearing up for Thanksgiving...it's my fave! We are going to have a house full - I can't wait! And Shawn has the whole day off b/c it's a Thursday! Woo hoo! I don't know yet whether I am going to try and venture out on Black Friday - it would have to be something for Ayden - I HATE SHOPPING IN CROWDS! Then I am hoping to make all 200+ Christmas cards over the weekend...I am such a glutton for punishment!
Well I think I am going to end for today. We are going to a late breakfast with Mom B. and Bubba and I will take her to the airport late this afternoon. I will post some pictures when I get a minute! Check back soon! Love from all of us!
