Ayden Update
Well this next week is going to be a very hard one for me - my sweet Bubba is growing up! First off, he is having his first haircut on Thursday. He needs it, and I don't know why this is so hard for me, but it is! (I promise to take before and after pictures.) Second, he is moving out of the cradle roll class next Sunday to the 2 year old class. I guess it helps that I am co-teaching on Sunday mornings! :) I actually thought I was going to be in the 3 year old class, but I think this is a God thing b/c he knows how hard this transition is for me. Third...his 2nd birthday is a week from this Wednesday. He thinks that every cake and every hat is a "berfday" cake or hat, but it will be so cool to tell him it's finally HIS "berfday." We are going to have a family party on Saturday the 10th, but we are waiting until sometime in April to have his friend party at the Cape May Zoo. That way it's warm enough for us all to actually enjoy it!
As I'm writing this my eyes are tearing up - it is just so hard to believe that 2 years ago it was just Shawn and I...I almost don't remember what that was like. And now having two is becoming more and more of a reality as my tummy gets bigger and bigger and Ayden will say, "where's my brudder?" OK - I gotta stop being so mushy!
Here's a really funny story about Ayden - we have always been very consistent with him using his manners when he talks to people. Well we can tell that he is going to be quite the little tease. He knows when you are supposed to say please and thank you, but lately he has been a little testy about saying thank you. So he'll say "pweasy pweasy" when he asks for something and then after he gets what he asked for I'll say, "now you say thank you." In response to that, he'll say, "You're welcome." We didn't even know he knew when you were supposed to say you're welcome, other than he would just hear us saying it to him after he would say thank you. But we hadn't ever made him say it. HAHAHA! At least he's saying something right? He really does keep me laughing all day long!
OK - I'm going to sign off for today. It's Monday, so that means cleaning, laundry, etc. And of course playing with Bubba!
