Recap of the Summer - part 1 - Memorial Day Weekend

The next few posts are going to basically be a picture recap of the summer with a few descriptions...I thought I probably should do this before Toby gets here. Otherwise, it might not get done at all!

We started off the summer by heading to Ohio for Memorial Day weekend. Shawn didn't drive out with us because of work, but Dad and Mom did. I stopped in Chardon to see Uncle Bruce, Aunt Kassie, Bruce, Terri, Hannah, Parker, and Abby. That's where I dropped off my parents and they stayed with the Carson's until the next Tuesday. Even though Ayden, Levi, and I were only there for like 14 hours, it as at least nice to see them. We definitely don't get to spend near the time that we would like to with them. Shawn has still never been to Chardon...next time I'm definitely bringing him!!! Here's a few pics from Chardon. (I don't know how, but I didn't get any pictures of Aunt Kassie, Bruce, or Terri - sorry!)

From there (on Saturday afternoon), Ayden, Levi, and I drove the three hours down to the Columbus area to Shawn's parents' house. Uncle Ryan and Aunt Shathar had just flown in a couple of hours earlier, and Shawn flew in not too long after we arrived. We had a really nice time just hanging out with the fam.

On Sunday, Shawn's Aunt Kathy and Uncle Brent and Grandpa and Grandma Bates drove in and met us for church and then we had our Memorial Day picnic/grill out that afternoon. Also a really great time!

Then on Monday we went to the parade in the city where Grandpa and Gramma live - Lithopolis. We had a nice time there too. Ayden even got a GO BUCKS painting on his arm...that was probably the highlight of his time there.
